The ID-200 Series Interface Detectors are used for interface measurement and control in all types of liquid/liquid and vapor/liquid separation processes including emulsions and foam. A wide range of models, process connections, and output options are available for the control of a variety of process installations such as Tanks, Decanters, Dehydrators, Desalters, Coalescers, etc. The ID-200 Series advanced control capabilities can be used to automate upset responses, antifoam and demulsifier chemical feed systems, and eliminate cross-contamination of separating phases.

Energy Absorption Technology

Water absorbs a large amount of the signal.
Oil absorbs relatively small amounts of the signal.
Water cut display is relative to the amount of signal being absorbed.

An added benefit of using this innovative control technology is increasing output of the Refinery by Optimizing Separation Control. Most plants are able to surge throughput 5% to 10% by enhancing separation control on the following units: Desalters, Crude & Finished Product Storage Tanks, API Separator, Slop Oil Tanks, Amine Contactors, Sour Water Strippers, Alky Units, Merox Units, Acid Settlers, Coker Blow-Down Drums, Sulfur Units, etc. This amplified throughput translates into millions of additional profits with a lowest investment.
